The Sun, Sunspots and Consciousness

The Sun, Sunspots and Consciousness

Story by: Gregg Prescott

What role does the Sun and sunspots play on consciousness and how does this relate to our ever day lives?

Edgar Cayce wrote about the correlation between sunspots and consciousness:

Cayce saw sun spots, as well as earth changes as a reflection of our own state of consciousness, a result of our own actions, the boomerang of divine law. His readings offer simple metaphors to describe that eternal truth.

When asked about how sunspots affect the inhabitants of the earth, he said that the question should be reversed. Sunspots, he claimed, are reflection of the “turmoils and strifes” that we our selves have created, and our own mind is “the builder.” He asked us to think about what we have built:

As what does thy soul appear? A spot, a blot up the sun? Or as that which giveth light unto those who sit in darkness, to those who cry aloud for hope?13

Cayce said that the responsibility for earth changes lies squarely on our shoulders, and how we conduct our relationships with others has everything to do with the changing face of the earth:

Tendencies in the hearts and souls of men are such that these [earth changes] may be brought about….

As ye do it unto thy fellow man, ye do it unto thy God, to thyself.14

A bit like Hamlet, who lamented that “the time is out of joint,” Cayce talked about earth changes as “readjustments”—adjustments that have to be made because something is out of alignment. Yet Cayce believed that just as we create chaotic conditions by our own out of alignment behavior, so we can create positive transformation by our loving attitudes and actions.

“In the final sequence of his life,” writes author Jess Stearn in his book Edgar Cayce on the Millenium,

“the great prophet saw the relationship of man to his Creator as more tangible and consequential than any El Nino or eruption of the earth.”15

Cayce said that we are not ruled by the world, our environment or even

“planetary influences,” but by our own free will. When we disregard divine law, we ring “chaos and destructive forces” into our life; when we are in harmony with the divine, we create order out of chaos.”16″

While the scientific community has discovered a 13 year cycle for sunspots, wayshowers from the metaphysical community has been commenting on these events since the 1920’s:

“Observe the indications of seismographic curves. The points are disposed not along the equator, nor along a meridian, but form their own curves. Sometimes an increased activity of quakes and shiftings coincides with the intensity of so-called sun-spots resulting from a tension of the solar system. One need not be a prophet to understand that brain action in these periods will flow in a specific way.”

New Era Community (1926) #161.

“The full moon usually is favorable for telepathy. But there are other factors that affect it too. Most important, it is influenced by certain phases of the sunspots. You may yourself have noticed that telepathic manifestations grow stronger with the increased chemical activity of the lunar and planetary rays, but sunspots also affect many other aspects of existence. Cold, which can reach disastrous extremes, the heat of volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes follow changes in the solar aura. One must keep this in mind, because the cold may increase and the earthquakes become more powerful. Thus, a transitory solar manifestation can be terminal on Earth.”

Agni Yoga (1929) #504.

“The function of the rays is contained in the blending of all energies with the Fire of Space. If one could resolve the Solar Ray into its electrons, it may be found to contain all elements that are in the cosmic, manifested, ray. The creativeness of the cosmic ray lies in the attraction and dissolution of energies. If the molecular particles could be extracted from the ray, their attraction could be utilized. Hence, one must adjust the forces of receptivity. Only striving from both ends will afford the necessary tension. Explosion occurs because of non-coordination of energies. All chaotic manifestations are only evidence of non-coordination. It may be said then that the tensive power of the cosmic ray is attracted toward Earth but meets with no responding vibration. Yet upon this foundation are all creative manifestations built. The affirmation of the cosmic ray intensifies all activity.”

Infinity Book 1 (1930) #258.

The following is from an article, “Is the Sun Conscious?”:

For me, one of the most astonishing thoughts was rather casually advanced by David Lorimer, director of the Scientific and Medical Network. He told us that in August, 1997 the followers of the Bulgarian teacher Peter Dhunov, would be gathering in Bulgaria to commune with the spirit of their deceased master and other illuminated beings who would be meeting in the Sun at the same time!

Satish Kumar told us of the traditional Indian belief that the departed spirits of enlightened human beings pass first into the light of the Sun and then to dimensions or realms beyond; the Sun was a kind of gateway through which human consciousness could move after bodily death.

Santos Bonacci covers in great detail the relationship between the sun and consciousness:

Astrotheology is the holy science that combines astrology, astronomy and theology. This holy science shows that in fact all myths, all story’s, the bible and all other holy scriptures, and even nursery rhymes are based on the movement and interaction of the seven lights we see in the sky. These seven lights we know as the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. They are the lights our eyes can see wandering in front of the fixed background of the stars. These are the main characters that create patterns in the sky, which have an effect on our lives here on Earth or Terra. “As above, so below”.

The brightest of these seven lights is the Sun also know as “Helios” in Greece and as “Helios Atum” in ancient Egypt. “Atum” sounds like “atom” and it is in fact the same because the sun is an atom. It has an electric light core and electron bodies floating around it.

Plato said that the Sun is “the cause of our knowledge, without it we cannot see”. So the Sun is the teacher of the sense of the sight and the ruler of our eyes. The Sun is the “lucent” one, or “Lucifer”.

In ancient Egyptian mythology, the name of the “Sun” god was “Ra”, the one who “ra”diates. In churches, you will often see the letters “IHS” on books, altars, baptismal fonts etc. alwayspictured with a symbol of the sun around it. IHS stands for the Greek letters “iota”, “eta” and“sigma”. Writing in our alphabet, “IHS” equals “JHS” or “JHC”. The pronunciation of thisword is “JES”, which is a shorthand for “Jesus”. Jesus and the sun are the same. Jesus is thesun! Jesus Christ is God’s sun. The sun is the risen savior. So this “IHS” is a Christogram, amonogram which is an abbreviation of the name of “Jesus”. The early Christians were called:“Helionostics” which means “Those who have knowledge of the Sun”.

In Hebrew “yes”, or “jes” means fire or the sun! The name of the sun in Hebrew is Michael, or Emanuel. In India, it is: Krishna, Brahma, Shiva or Jes-Christna. In Egypt, it is: Ra, Horus, Seth, Atum, Aman. In the “Nag Hammadi” teachings is written that: “Christ is the true life and the sun of life”.

  • Daniel 10:13-21 describes Daniel's vision of an angel who identifies Michael as the protector

St Patrick (390 AD): “The true Christ is the sun “. Predulian (363 AD): “The sun is the center of the solar system”.

Eraneus: “The Gnostics really declared that all the supernatural transactions in the gospels were counterparts of what took place in the sky and heavens”.

Leonardo Davinci: “I could wish that I had such power of language as should avail me to assure those who would set the worship of man above that of the sun. Those who wish to worship man (an historical Christ) make a huge error!”

In the bible, Jesus says: “I’m the light of the world, every eye will see me”.

Bible – Simon: “For the Lord God is a sun and a shield”.

Bible – Psalm 48: 11: “The Lord is a shield and a sun”.

Bible – John 4: 8: “God is love”.

Bible – John 1: 5: “God is light: .

Bible – Hebrews 12: 12: “For our God is a consuming fire”.

Many people refuse to acknowledge the importance of the sun in esoteric terms.  The Sun is not only the bringer of life, but is intimately connected to our consciousness as our bodies are a reflection of the cosmos. During sunspot activity, take notice of your emotions, health and mental well-being as these are all being affected on a deeper level. The more you become in tune with these occurrences, the more you will begin to see and understand the relationships between the sun, the cosmos and yourself.

  • The Interplay Between Vitamin D and Viral Infections

    Abstract

The pleiotropic role of vitamin D has been explored over the past decades and there is compelling evidence for an epidemiological association between poor vitamin D status and a variety of diseases.

How Vitamin D Helps Fight the Cold, Flu, and Other Viruses

Is Vitamin D from the Sun the Same as Vitamin D from Food?

The form of vitamin D you get when you expose your skin to sunlight is vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol and it’s produced by a series of chemical reactions brought on by sun exposure. When the sun hits your skin, a compound on your skin called dehydrocholesterol gets converted to a vitamin D precursor. From there, this pre-vitamin D travels to your kidneys and liver where they modify it to become active vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol).

What about food? When you get vitamin D from natural food sources, such as salmon or egg yolks, it’s also in the form of vitamin D3. In contrast, foods fortified with vitamin D contain another form of vitamin D called vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol). For example, the vitamin D you get from plant-based milk or orange juice is likely vitamin D2. Does it matter whether you’re getting vitamin D3 from animal-based foods and sunlight or vitamin D2 from some fortified foods, like plant-based milk?

According to some studies, vitamin D2 is not as potent as vitamin D3. In one study, researchers gave 335 healthy women foods fortified with vitamin D2 or vitamin D3 from animal sources, like salmon. The vitamin D3 was twice as effective at boosting blood levels of vitamin D. So, vitamin D2 may be less efficient at getting your vitamin D level up relative to vitamin D3.

Another study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism found that vitamin D3 is 87% more effective at boosting vitamin D concentrations than is vitamin D2. Furthermore, you store up to 3-fold more vitamin D when you get it in the D3 form. That’s a substantial difference!

    5. Conclusions

This article presented a number of indications for a non-random relation between the appearanceof solar flares of classes M and X, and the relative motion of the five innermost planets. Theindications were based mostly on the distributions of flares in the years 1977-2019 as a functionof the relative heliocentric longitude between pairs of planets. The special case of alignment ofseveral planets was also examined, given the fact that the next such alignment takes place in the following weeks.

  • We May Be Entering a Deep Solar Minimum as the Sun Goes Unusually Quiet

     5/18/20

The sun has entered an unusually quiet period, with the number of sunspots appearing on the surface unusually low. This level of activity is so low, some scientists have suggested we may be entering a "deep" solar minimum, and potentially even a Grand Minimum—the last of which took place in the 17th century and coincided with a mini ice age.

The sun has an 11-year cycle where activity waxes and wanes. This is caused by the strengthening and weakening of its magnetic field. The point when activity is highest is known as the solar maximum, which is characterized by more sunspots appearing on the surface. The solar minimum is where activity falls, and far fewer sunspots appear. The last solar maximum peaked in 2014.

    • Sun unleashes biggest flare since 2017. Is our star waking up?

This morning (May 29), our star fired off its strongest flare since October 2017, an eruption spotted by NASA's sun-watching Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).

Solar flares are bursts of radiation that originate from sunspots, temporary dark and relatively cool patches on the solar surface that boast very strong magnetic fields. Scientists classify strong flares into three categories: C, M and X. Each class is 10 times more powerful than the one beneath it; M flares are 10 times stronger than C flares, but 10 times weaker than X-class events.

Today's flare was an M-class eruption, so it was no monster. (And it wasn't aimed at Earth, so there's no chance of supercharged auroras from a potential associated coronal mass ejection of solar plasma.) But the outburst could still be a sign that the sun is ramping up to a more active phase of its 11-year activity cycle, NASA officials said. If that's the case, the most recent such cycle, known as Solar Cycle 24, may already have come to an end.

so ...... we don't know which way the sun will go , going to sleep or waking up ...... to be updated

Sun unleashes biggest flare since 2017. Is our star waking up?
It's too soon to tell if we're already in Solar Cycle 25.
  • Grand Solar Minimums and the Fall of Empires — A Great Crash Looms

Earth is gradually sliding into its next Ice Age, and has been doing so for the past 10,000 years — now modern civilization is on the cusp of a stratospheric fall, and it’s all to do with the sun.

Societies flourish during times of warmth and high solar activity — the periods of Minoan, Roman and Medieval Warming are evidence of this.

Civilizations are built on the presumed constant and predictable climate that comes with solar maximums, and man’s reliance on its own fragile infrastructures only grows as the decades of reliable climate pass.

But when the constant is broken, it’s broken fast and the system can’t adapt quickly enough to cope with the descending cold.

Overlaying the peak of past civilizations atop the GISP2 Ice Core data clearly illustrates the pattern:

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

If we look at the Roman Empire, it’s apparent the sun was at the heart of everything.

The period from 200 BC to 150 AD — when the Roman project was at its most healthy — also coincided with what is often referred to as the ‘Roman Climate Optimum’, when the weather warmed up due to high solar activity.

Pliny the Elder, writing in the first century AD, described how beech trees, which used to grow only in the lowlands, started climbing up mountains as the temperature rose. Olives and vines were grown further and further north. The Empire became a giant greenhouse.

But the weather drastically deteriorated in 150–400 AD when solar output dropped — the ‘Roman Transitional Period’ — and hit temperature lows in the ‘Late Antique Little Ice Age’ from 450–700 AD.

Growing seasons were shortened, food shortages ensued, disease became rampant, millions died and the Empire fell apart.

    Medieval Warming

The Medieval Warm Period — from about 900 AD to 1300 AD — was a time when global temperatures were as much as 1.4C above present levels.

Oxygen isotope studies in Greenland, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Tibet, China, New Zealand, and elsewhere, plus tree-ring data from many sites around the world all confirm the presence of a global Medieval Warm period.

The period coincided with a Grand Solar Maximum, a time of prolonged high solar output, and humans were once again prospering.

Don J. Easterbrook writes in Evidence-Based Climate Science:

Its effects were evident in Europe where grain crops flourished, alpine tree lines rose, many new cities arose, and the population more than doubled.

The Vikings took advantage of the climatic amelioration to colonize Greenland, and wine grapes were grown as far north as England where growing grapes is now not feasible and about 500 km north of present vineyards in France and Germany.

Grapes are presently grown in Germany up to elevations of about 560 m, but from about 1100 A.D. to 1300 A.D., vineyards extended up to 780 m, implying temperatures warmer by about 1.0–1.4 °C (Oliver, 1973).

Wheat and oats were grown around Trondheim, Norway, suggesting climates about 1 °C warmer than present (Fagan, 2000).

    The Little Ice Age

At the end of the Medieval Warm Period, ∼1300 AD, temperatures dropped dramatically and the cold period that followed is known as the Little Ice Age.

The population of Europe had become dependent on cereal grains as a food supply during the Medieval Warm Period, and the colder climate, early snows, violent storms, and recurrent flooding resulted in massive crop failure, widespread famine and disease (Fagan, 2000; Grove, 2004).

    Don J. Easterbrook continues:

The Little Ice Age was not a time of continuous cold climate, but rather repeated periods of cooling and warming, each of which occurred during times of solar minima, characterized by low sunspot numbers, low total solar irradiance (TSI), decreased solar magnetism, increased cosmic ray intensity, and increased production of radiocarbon and beryllium in the upper atmosphere.

Centuries of observations of the sun have shown that sunspots, solar irradiance, and solar magnetism vary over time, and these phenomena correlate very well with global climate changes on Earth.

A number of solar Grand Minima, periods of reduced solar output, have been recognized:

The Wolf Minimum was a period of low sunspot numbers and TSI between about 1300 AD and 1320 AD.

It occurred during the cold period that marked the end of the Medieval Warm Period and the beginning of the Little Ice Age about 1300 AD.

The change from the warmth of the Medieval Warm Period to the cold of the Little Ice Age was abrupt and devastating, leading to the Great Famine from 1310 to 1322.

The winter of 1309–1310 AD was exceptionally cold. The Thames River froze over and poor people were especially affected.

The Sporer Minimum occurred from about 1410 to 1540 and like the Wolf Minimum, the Sporer coincided with a period of brutal cold.

During Maunder Minimum temperatures plummeted in Europe, the growing season became shorter by more than a month, the number of snowy days increased from a few to 20–30, the ground froze to several feet, alpine glaciers advanced all over the world, glaciers in the Swiss Alps encroached on farms and buried villages, tree-lines in the Alps dropped, sea ports were blocked by sea ice that surrounded Iceland and Holland for about 20 miles, wine grape harvests diminished, and cereal grain harvests failed, leading to mass famines (Fagan, 2007).

The Thames River and canals and rivers of the Netherlands froze over during the winter.

The population of Iceland decreased by about half.

In parts of China, warm-weather crops that had been grown for centuries were abandoned.

And in North America, early European settlers experienced exceptionally severe winters.

Modern Maximum and Looming Grand Solar Minimum

All signs point to same pattern unfolding, potentially within the next few years.

We’ve had our Grand Solar Maximum, our period of sustained warmth and predictable climate — and we’ve flourished.

But Total Solar Irradiance is now forecast to fall off a cliff.

And even the ‘mainstream’ agrees, albeit with their slightly more optimistic CMIP6 model:

Sunspots, a great barometer for solar activity, have been largely absent in 2018/19.

Analysis by Professor Valentina Zharkova has us entering the next Grand Solar Minimum in 2020, as all four of the sun’s magnetic fields go out of phase — click here for more on that.

While NASA has recently revealed this upcoming solar cycle (25) will be “the weakest of the past 200 years,” and they’ve correlated previous solar shutdowns to prolonged periods of global cooling here.

The resulting cold will throw modern society into chaos, just as it did with preceding GSMs.

Growing seasons will be drastically shortened, harvests will fail, millions will perish through starvation/disease, and The Empire will crumble.

    A Great Crash Looms

Stock Markets are already creaking, with several noted economists and distinguished investors warning of a 70% stock market crash in the very near future.

The Modern Maximum is over, in every regard.

Great plays of the cosmos contribute to the rise and fall of empires.

In the end, man is eternally fallible — and no empire lasts forever.
