One of my favorite quotes :

"Randall Cole Roffe: Harmonic Resonance

The application of the principles of one science into another is often neglected. Today we have a massive and growing volume of experimentally proven information that certainly does not always find its every application. In the real world, we can work from scientific theory, through experimentation, into an engineered result, but just as often we work via reverse engineering, from the result back into the origin.

If we take a good look -- and listen -- at the whole of manifestation, and apply the principles of acoustics and music, and of the color wheel, the grand pattern that emerges is self-evident.More
than this, a possible explanation of a medium of transmission of a universal electrogravitational influence, as a plenum far more fundamental than an ether, becomes apparent. With this realization a
whole new understanding of physics also emerges, with awesome possibilities."

The God Helmet is an experimental apparatus originally called the Koren helmet after its inventor Stanley Koren. It was developed by Koren and neuroscientist Michael Persinger to study creativity, religious experience and the effects of subtle stimulation of the temporal lobes. [1] Reports by participants of a "sensed presence" while wearing the God helmet brought public attention and resulted in several TV documentaries. [2] The device has been used in Persinger's research in the field of neurotheology, the study of the neural correlations of religion and spirituality. The apparatus, placed on the head of an experimental subject, generates very weak fluctuating magnetic fields, that Persinger refers to as " complex." These fields are approximately as strong as those generated by a land line telephone handset or an ordinary hair dryer, but far weaker than that of an ordinary refrigerator magnet and approximately a million times weaker than transcranial magnetic stimulation. [3]
Persinger reports that many subjects have reported "mystical experiences and altered states"[4] while wearing the God Helmet.

    Global Occurrence

    .

The Stone circles in the U.K are the most well known because there are approximately 1,000 of them in Britain and Ireland but this is just the tip of the iceberg when you look at their occurrence around the world, see below for more details.

    Ancient Civilizations
    • The site link is nice - the modern explorers - and the cornflake guy eating cornflakes in as many places as possible. I'd like to eat cornflakes at Gobekli Tepe! (Problem is I like hot milk on my cornflakes which makes other people want to puke)..

  • Written language, the hallmark of human civilization, didn't just suddenly appear one day. Thousands of years before the first fully developed writing systems, our ancestors scrawled geometric signs across the walls of the caves they sheltered in. Paleoanthropologist and rock art researcher Genevieve von Petzinger has studied and codified these ancient markings in caves across Europe. The uniformity of her findings suggest that graphic communication, and the ability to preserve and transmit messages beyond a single moment in time, may be much older than we think.

    • In French mythology or folklore, Dames Blanches (meaning literally white ladies) were female spirits or supernatural beings, comparable to the White Women of both Dutch and Germanic mythology. The Dames Blanches were reported in the region of Lorraine (Lotharingen) and Normandy. They appear (as Damas blancas, in Occitan), in the Pyrenees mountains, where they were supposed to appear near caves and caverns.

    • Oh wow! There is someone else out there. Haha :D I thought I was posting alone!

      Hi M.

      Something interesting extra about caves...

Dr. Marion Dowd, who is coincidentally supervising my husband's thesis at the moment, has recently made quite a leap for Irish Archaeology.

Bear bone opens new chapter in Ireland’s archaeology

Find pushes back earliest evidence of human habitation of island by 2,500 years.

Analysis of the butchered knee bone from a brown bear, which lay in a cardboard box in the National Museum of Ireland for a century, has indicated that humans lived on the island 12,500 ago, the researchers say.

Radiocarbon dating of the bear’s knee bone, one of some 15,000 bones found in the cave, confirmed it was 12,500 years old, and the researchers noted visible cut marks to the bone which they say were made at the same point.

      Hunter-gatherers

“This is very very exciting. It adds an entirely new chapter to human colonisation of the island, “ said Dr Dowd. “It’s the first evidence of a completely different society of hunter-gatherers in Ireland.”

Dr Dowd said analysis of the bone, found in the Alice and Gwendoline cave in Co Clare in 1903, provided evidence scientists had been seeking since the 1860s of human existence on the island during the Palaeolithic period.

There is great symbolic rock art in this area from very long ago. The ideas of stars and constellations is often put forward for some of them here. I will see if I can find some another time among my photos. Here is a couple of google images. Thanks for the post, M :)

  • In The Geography of Genius, acclaimed travel writer Weiner sets out to examine the connection between our surroundings and our most innovative ideas. He explores the history of places, like Vienna of 1900, Renaissance Florence, ancient Athens, Song Dynasty Hangzhou, and Silicon Valley, to show how certain urban settings are conducive to ingenuity.

    Sacred geography

There exist privileged regions and places where energy in the form of terrestrial magnetism rises heavenward.
As per Hindu religious mythology, Prana (gravity) pulls life downwards, while apanan (levity) pulls life upwards. Such places are called Tirtha (ways), Kshetra (ways) or pitha (base). Sacred geography can identify sacred places and sometimes explain the importance of those which are already known.[1]

The dwelling of gods must be built on such privileged ground (kshetras), and, as a rule, sacred cities arise around them.[2] The temple should be close to a water course or near a lake located to the east or north. For the building of a temple, it should have a lake on the left (north) or in front (east), and not otherwise. If the temple is built on an island, the presence of water all around is of good omen

    What are the Universal Currents

According to M. Rota they are constant in their direction, but variable in their intensity and density, depending on the time and place. They are at the origin of worlds, assuring the mechanism of the universe and dispensers of life and death.

  • Possible Geomagnetic Field Effects in Psi Phenomena

Michael Persinger, a Canadian neuroscientist. He was conducting research with geomagnetic fields and psi that was far more sophisticated than my earlier efforts. I invited him to write an article about his work and published it in a journal I was editing (Persinger, 1975). Persinger told me that the geomagnetic field has several components. The main component is created by the Earth itself, as if a huge bar magnet were running through the core of the Earth. Regular daffy and monthly variations occurs. These variations are due to several factors. Weather affects the daily or diurnal variations. Lunar changes affect the monthly variations. Major variations occur due to sunspot activity, as well. Changes in the geomagnetic field can be sudden and unpredictable. The best known example of charged particles from the sun interacting with the Earth's magnetic field is the aurora borealis, often called the "Northern Lights" (Tart, 1988).

Persinger conducted an analysis of spontaneous cases of telepathy and clairvoyance. He found that these noted experiences were more likely to occur when the global geomagnetic activity was significantly quieter than the days before or the days after the experience. A day of low amplitude with slow, predictable variations is referred to as a quiet magnetic day. These were the days that were associated with reports of telepathy and clairvoyance (Persinger, 1985). About the same time, Marcia Adams (1986) studied the relationship between quiet magnetic days with success in remote viewing experiments, finding a positive connection.

A day of sudden and large amplitude changes is referred to as a magnetically stormy day. Persinger reported a tendency for reports of poltergeist and haunting experiences to occur on these days (Persinger, 1989). Psychokinesis, anomalous effects on distant objects or activity, has been studied in the laboratory under "psi task" conditions. An analysis of some of these experiments have indicated a tendency for them to occur most frequently on magnetically stormy days (Braud & Dennis, 1989).
